Attracting Painted Buntings
Recommended by Katie
If you ever come to the Texas Hill Country and like birding it would be most lovely if you got the chance to see a painted bunting. Those of us in the Southeast/south central part of the US have the best chance of seeing them as they migrate to us in the warmer months.

“I love painted buntings! It’s hard to be sad when you’re lucky enough to spot these magnificent little rainbows in the wild. Nature, what can’t you do?! They’re a rare sighting in my area, but peak sightings are usually May and June. The females and young males look like tiny limes with wings!”
