Piet Oudolf

A landscape designer who paints with plants. The designer of the High Line gardens, among other famous landscapes, Oudolf selects flowers not only based on how their colors harmonize and play off each other in bloom, but on their evolution throughout the seasons: the grass, once green, that turns golden in the fall, or the sculpture of seed pods that remain in winter.
