Definitely a bit on the longer side, but it’s not a problem because I love reading it as much as my daughter loves listening. Thought it would freak her out but she asks for it almost every night 😅

Oh man the memories! I don’t remember what happens but I remember my sisters and I being equal parts disturbed and obsessed with reading this story over and over.

Right?? It’s so creepy but weirdly fun to read 😂 Plus I just love this author/illustrator duo, their work is always so good. (Spoiler alert) mom goes to the market and the witch comes over and turns all the children into food. Witch takes food-children back to her creepy house in the woods. Just as she is about to eat them, mom bangs on the door demanding her kids back, and witch says she can have them if she can figure out which food is which child. Mom figures it out and saves her kids, then they chase the witch until she jumps off a bridge. 🫣😂
