I'm a lifelong Californian that just moved to New Jersey, what do I need to survive my first real winter? (I know I'll need boots/waterproof shoes so if you have not too chunky boot recs I'd love those!)

As a Minnesotan I LIVE in these from November-March. They’re waterproof, cozy, comfortable, and incredibly practical as an everyday winter footwear option without looking too “snow boot”y. Can’t recommend them enough!
