Lying in Bed / Watching the Rain

We’re on family vacation in the North Fork of Long Island this week (me, husband, kids, in-laws, my mom), and it monsooned today. Took 20 min to myself to just lie in bed and watch/listen to the rain and was so grateful. It’s something I’d never do at home because there’s always a call to make, an email to answer, something to clean up, etc. I never just lay in bed in the middle of the day. Very cozy, very restful. And that view!
