I’m a B+ cook but I always find reading books about people who love food inspiring. Alice’s connection to nature, her love for French food and culture, her recollection of her childhood and the pivotal political years in Berkeley during the 60s are all a pleasure to read. It’ll make you want to follow your arrow, get your hands in the dirt, and make something :)

“Alice Waters’ memoir! So far, the best book that I’ve read this year. If you love food, cooking or have ever stepped foot in Chez Panisse, this book is well worth your time.”
