Poor Things (Alasdair Gray)
Seen the movie? Now read the book. Odd and unusual and surprising. Loved it. I also lived in Glasgow for 6 years and enjoyed recognizing places in the book.

"Poor Things" by Alasdair Gray

“Structure is everything in this amazingly gonzo and wickedly entertaining collection of found "historical" documents that includes the Frankenstein tale of Bella Baxter, a dead woman brought back to life implanted with the brain from her fetus, as well as Bella's own shocking rebuttal, raising the question of why so people prefer to believe a man's outrageous lies over a woman's truth. Ironically,”

“The movie was fun and the book is wonderful! Odd and surprising and woman centered.”

Ha ha same. On the protein front 1) Icelandic skyr yogurt-way more protein then greek ans tastes good! Full taste, not weird like added protein yogurts. Trader Joes has some good flavored versions ( I wish they also made plain) 2) Cottage Cheese- never had much luck cooking with it but in a bowl with tomatoes and everything but the bagel seasoning or with some type of chutney on top. As for weights, I keep a set of adjustable weights by the washing machine and do a few reps when I change the laundry. I hate workout clothes.
