sometimes weddings/parties, networking events, hanging with distant family is a little awkward, and that makes anticipation of events a little daunting. i tell myself a question and two follow ups is a nice baseline if you’re stuck talking to someone you don’t know well or at all. honestly you would be surprised how often it actually leads to an ok conversation. even if it’s boring you kinda did your job and the person you’re talking to will have a positive memory of your engagement with them.
