Bruce Springsteen - Badlands

he never says USA or America in this song but depending on your point of view this is a call to get up and survive agains all odds or a searing critique that any of us even have these insane odds to answer to. poor men wanna be rich, rich men wanna be king, and the king ain’t satisfied untilhe owns everything.

Fantastic, I was thinking I got WAY too far down this list without seeing Bruce. (I was expecting Born in the USA to appear so I could go get miffed at people not listening to the lyrics in the comments, but I do like Badlands better.
Also I associate it with an incredibly endearing acoustic cover by a like, 19 year old Julien Baker that YT tossed at me.
