This was the best thing we ever did (second only to getting a king sized bed). You can cocoon to your hearts content come winter time. Trust me.

Ok I love this idea and want to do it, but genuine question: how do you make the bed without a big seam running down the middle?

We just fold the duvets separately at the bottom of the bed. It’s nice that way because it also lets the sheets/mattress air out a bit during the day. (No top sheet involved in the set up fyi)

My husband and I use two king size duvets and just stack them on top of each other to make the bed. Makes for a very fluffy bed!
