Any books that can make my unemotional self SOB at the end of it is 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was drawn in by the local-ish backdrop and the modern gothic vibes, but this book is so much more. 

There are imperfect characters that sometimes made me want to scream at them through the pages, talented writing (especially dialogue), and just enough magic throughout the plot. 

I felt so many emotions while reading - love for the characters, grief for those I’ve lost, and understanding for the imperfections I saw in myself through these characters.
