Finding the perfect reading album

In my case, it’s John Carroll Kirby’s My Garden. This has been my reading album for the last six years. One could argue that knowing the track sequence might make the reading experience feel more rushed, knowing when the album is about to end, etc. but I don’t really find that.

I love how when the first song begins, my mind immediately knows it’s time to dive into my book. There’s been so many times I’ve been sitting in the park on a beautiful summers day with this album playing, at this point it both allows me to focus & to feed into a little bit of nostalgia. And you know I’m a sucker for nostalgia.
