90 seconds ago (literally), I learned of the Horror subgenre “splatterpunk”. I want to be uncomfortable, afraid, and shocked this spooky season. The only true evil is a dense read (newly diagno adhd, need a flow). Do your worst.

OG, maybe proto-splatterpunk. Barker has since moved on, and so did the aesthetic, but you’re gonna wanna start with these short story collections. These collections are the Elvis on The Ed Sullivan Show of what was to come.
