“I pretended to visit the Criterion Closet during their half-off sale a week or two ago, stocking up on old favorites and some new releases. The underrated, surreal Lynch masterpiece Lost Highway, a Möbius strip of a film with incredible performances and a haunting score. The Terry Gilliam dystopian masterpiece, Brazil. Ken Russell’s trippy Altered States, with some of the best hallucinatory filmma”
