This sort of song was commonplace in the rich Australian 90s indie music scene: midtempo guitar pop with heartfelt lyrics, a borderline anthemic refrain and a steady riff. Yep there was a lot of it about - most of it forgettable - but Sydney band Knievel rose above the chaff with this perfectly formed diamond of a song. Something Good.. recalls the spot-on song writing of McLennan and Forster in it's understated brilliance, while hinting at the sound of future slacker pop and dole wave bands to come in it's blending of genuine feeling with an effortlessly cool sound.
