Starting a Lowkey Book Club

This can look however you want it to look! Ours is lowkey because there’s no assigned reading: just show up, hang, bring a book to read, and we’ll make breakfast for whoever comes. Also lowkey because there’s no attendance expectation: we try to run it roughly monthly and you come when you want. Maybe we see you at most of ‘em, or maybe we see you every few years, whatever works! It’s adjacent/borderline-identical to silent book clubs but ours has more chatting and less reading (but always at least a little reading) so “silent” didn’t feel accurate. “Book club” is also stretching it, but “breakfast club” was taken.

We’ve been doing it for about a year and love it. Fighting our corner of the loneliness epidemic!
