Two-Stick Butter Dish Kept on the Counter

If you keep your butter on the counter, as one does if they like spreading it on things, a butter dish that holds two sticks is the way to go. “Two is one and one is none” and if you have a one-stick dish then somebody* is gonna use all but the last smidge of butter-dish butter and you’re going to have to spread straight-from-the-fridge butter, like an animal. But with a two-stick butter dish you’ve always got a stick at bat and a stick on deck.**
