I get joy from shopping online and having things magically appear, I also get joy from taking my daughter shopping—and not because it’s a cliché. Whether it’s an ingredient for dinner (and she’s more engaged at the table later), or a skirt (that she then takes pride in wearing), or we’re both just window shopping, I like the feeling of an old school shop and hang.

I could cry!! I feel an immediate connection to the parent too, I’m like I see you. I know how you got here now: a very determined and fancy young person convinced you that polyester blends are not the enemy, and your child just wants the world to see their inside self 😭
