My 4 grandparents died shortly after my wedding — why in the actual hell did I sit with my bridesmaids and groomsmen at dinner?!?! Have dinner with your grandparents/groom’s grands or elderly relatives. You’ll have the best conversation if your life. Ask for advice, ask about their wedding, ask about their first year of marriage.

Spend time with a grandparent (or another person) if you can. Talk to them about your feelings, your ex, and ask them what they would have done in your situation, at your age. My grandmother always had such a valuable perspective when I couldn’t see the long game. If you don’t have a grandparent, ask a friend what HER grandma would say! <3
