The Night of the Hunter

“Gorgeous, harrowing and knockout performances and direction from all involved. It’s such a shame we didn’t get more from Charles Laughton, but this one is so far and above, we didn’t need any more.”

“Beautiful and terrifying. Kind of a fable about encountering and escaping from the relentless evils of the world. Shockingly dark for its time but has incredibly haunting and beautiful images (river sequence, underwater scene)”
