Panic bought these during an unexpected early snowstorm while visiting NYC a couple of years ago and they quickly became my favorite city snow boot. Slim ankle works under all of my pants and also looks cute enough with tights/ dresses, sole has plenty of traction, and they are lightweight enough for lots of walking.

True to size? Should I go up a half size or more for my thick ass alpaca socks?

Salomon sizing is weird in general. Trying to remember what size I bought, but if you have a place you can try on a pair (even in another style,) I recommend. I don’t think I needed bigger to accommodate socks and I’m a wool sock winter gal too.
