The Essential Bed - Wood Japanese Joinery Bed Frame
$2,395
After breaking three bed frames in less than 4 years (a spendy point of pride for my partner and me) and much combing of reviews, we bought a Thuma frame a year or two ago and it’s the best purchase we’ve ever made. The quality is superb, assembly is a joy, and it’s pretty! Slightly lower than anticipated but not abnormally low. We skipped the headboard because of money, so I can’t vouch for that piece.
It’s more money than I wanted to spend but less than we would end up spending replacing less expensive bed frames at the rate we were going.

“I’ve been very happy with my Thuma. 100% real wood and Japanese joinery. No screws or tools. It’s minimal and perfect. Get one of their pillow headboards.”

“We’ve had our Thuma frame for 6 years and absolutely love it. The tool-free assembly and Japanese joinery are as rad as they sound. We’ve been thinking of upgrading to a king and if we do, we’ll get another Thuma!”

“Apartment living requires a bed that isn’t hard to move. Enter the Thuma bed. The entire frame disassembles easily for moves across the street or across the country. Enough clearance underneath to store all of my winter clothes and extra bedding without looking lofted. Always feels stable, never squeaks.”
