Buy a big jar of buttons

A nearby thrift store sold big-ass jars of mystery buttons and I cannot begin to tell you how good of an investment it has been (for me, anyway.) Buttons are such a fun, unexpected way to jazz up any old piece of clothing in your wardrobe and it’s so GD easy it should be illegal!

I sewed random, colorful buttons onto an old button up recently and damnit if it isn’t my favorite shirt now. I’m currently sewing buttons onto the cuffs of my too-long jeans and I’m frickin smitten. So if you got a thrift store that sells a giant mason jar of buttons, don’t think. Just get it!
