Perfect Blue (1997)

Tara Gonzalez

“Great movie about the complicated relationship between fans and fame.”

“Perfect Blue is my favorite movie of all time. I first watched it in my college movie theater in the basement and I went in knowing nothing and my jaw was physically, literally on the floor for the entire third act. Satoshi Kon is a master of genre and style, creating visuals and an atmosphere that is intriguing and terrifying. He's also unnervingly prescient with respect to the violence of fandom”
