Shrine to Mayor Zohran Mamdani

Know what today is? Yes, Mean Girls Day, but what else?!? Exactly one month ‘til the Midterm Elections.

During the 2024 presidential campaign, we had a Kamala Harris magnet on the front door of our NYC apartment. After the election, someone drew an X on the magnet in Sharpie. When Zohran Mamdani ran for mayor, I canvassed for him, attended rallies and wore his merch. But to protect my peace at home, I kept political signage on the inner side of the door.

I’m so grateful to live in one of the nation’s most progressive cities. Let’s elect leaders who agree with Mamdani: “The government’s job is to actually make our lives better.” 🗳️💙🇺🇸
