Thin Lizzy ~ Songs For While I'm Away • 2DVD + CD • 2022 Mercury Studios ••NEW••
$28.98
(No Wax, Just CD)
Disclaimer: Thin Lizzy is a top 3 favorite band for me. Phil Lynott has inspired me beyond words so, I am totally biased on all Thin Lizzy recs.
However, this collection here includes a CD and DVD of the band live in Sydney (they really were incredible live; I will use their album Live and Dangerous to support my claim) as well as the DVD, Songs for While I'm Away, the 2022 documentary of Phil Lynott's life.
A worthy purchase for Thin Lizzy fans or for folks wanting to check out their stuff.

Gahh I practically leapt out my seat when this rec came up on my home page feed. I must watch this. L&D is indeed testament to what a superior live act Thin Lizzy was. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve cued up that version of “Jailbreak” leaving work on a Friday afternoon! Rest in Power Phil Lynott, one of the best and most charming to ever do it.
Sooo glad to hear this! I really enjoyed the documentary, which features interviews from his daughters, Suzi Quatro, Huey Lewis, former band mates, and so many more. Phil Lynott is my favorite rock star of all time and I think the film is a testament to his legacy.
One of TL's biggest fans was none other than Metallica bass guitarist, Cliff Burton. So much so, there is a wonderful video on YouTube of Cliff's father going through his records and sure enough, many TL records, including some duplicates!
