Georgia O’Keeffe’s home in New Mexico

Case in point, the most beautiful home I’ve ever been to. This was the place she lived for most of her last 35 years and apparently viewed as a sort of canvas. The kitchen is wonderfully retro, the fireplaces are magical, and the setting — with an irrigated garden that’s authentic to the Pueblo in which the plot is located — is fascinating, too. Plus, nearby Ghost Ranch has incredible vistas and really great hiking options.
