Early Birds Dance Club
A dance party for ladies who have shit to do in the morning; it starts at 6pm, ends at 10pm. In cities across the US. So far I’ve attended in SF and NY and I will go as often as possible because it’s the most joyous crowd I’ve ever been a part of.
The average age is probably 50, and the DJ knows who they’re playing for. I’m talking Mariah, Cher, Bey, Riri, Usher, Whitney, the Venga Boys - everything you could ask for!
Tonight’s NY party ended with Islands in the Stream, the whole crowd swaying and singing.
Please lord let me sing and dance in a room full of smiling strangers again soon.
