Picked this up on a friend’s rec and gobbled it up in a day. Hilarious, sad, brilliantly observed essays about family, aging, and death. A total treat.

This book is great! Though I will say Dress Your Family In Corduroy and Denim is my favorite book of his!

“My favorite David Sedaris book! It explores family dynamics in his typical dark humor style. The setting is (if I remember correctly) the Outerbanks of North Carolina and there is something about a book that takes place in a family beach house that automatically soothes my sentimental heart. There’s a lot of tough themes but his way of shedding light on topics continually makes me laugh out loud.”
