WXYC

Our local college radio station. Cartoonishly esoteric, as college radio should be. Used to listen to it with the windows down driving around at night in my 1990 Volvo station wagon. 89.3 FM

I won tickets to a Pavement show from WXYC in the fading days of the 20th century because it was easy to be the third caller or whatever when they had contests. The whole thing was magical.

Truly one of the things I miss most about working in Chapel Hill! Long live college radio!
