Died Pretty, Free Dirt (1986): OK, this isn't really what you were asking for since it's definitely not new, but it's pretty new to me, and you might like it anyway—a 1986 album from this Australian band that also would've fit in pretty well if it had come out ten years later. Based on this album, I could see an alternate reality where this band toured with Spiritualized circa 1997.

The Beths, Straight Line Was A Lie (2025): More guitar pop than emo per se, but I'd say there are some occasional emo vibes, and the Beths sure wouldn't have sounded out of place in 1997. (All their previous records also great.)

Pool Kids, Easier Said Than Done (2025): First thing that came to mind.

It's Still Pretty Terrible - Dowsing: I think I have the perfect album for you - my friend Erik's band. Very 90s influenced Midwest emo/punk. Check out his other band Pet Symmetry too.
