Being your own library

but also libraries if you don't feel the wild need to keep every book you enjoyed reading ever because when you were little you could re-read the same book unlimited times without growing restless and you still own a lot of those books too.

Owning books from throughout my life feels like an accurate representation of who I am and who I have been and who I am trying to be.

I admit that the amount of books that I've read vs not read can be disillusioning sometimes but then I remember - I have all of these books at my disposal now! Physical media! that I can take with me whenever and can read whenever and as long as I keep trying to earnestly read through the personal catalog and am always happy and open to loan and share the books then what a wonderful beautiful thing! also run-on sentences are my friend <3 I'm trying to let go of a whole perfectionist thing and that means not spending an insane amount of time editing and rewriting these because the goal is sharing the things I love with you all, not impressing you <3
