Life Changing Toddy at Good Life Cafe

A Very Good Place To Eat. Right in town, open from early morning to late afternoon, Good Life is that perfect mix of healthy-leaning Californian fare with classic Mexican breakfast dishes mixed in.

I'm partial to their soups which are hearty and change daily as well as their juices and green goddess bowl. The toddy is my favorite menu item by far - made with huge slices of organic ginger and turmeric cut lengthwise which is striking and I'm convinced adds to the flavor, this is the comforting drink that I think about so often and have never quite recreated as well at home. So simple, so delicious, you'd think it'd be an easy DIY, yet somehow the magic of the toddy is sipping it in the Good Life's big backyard full of plants and sculptures and very hungry crows. Be ware the crows...

Another perk of Good Life is the Honor System Farm Stand full of hyper-local, in-season fruits and veggies that's hidden in their backyard. One of the biggest joys of Mendocino is discovering sweet spots like this as you wander through town.
