I'm not a Tess Gerritsen fan in general but this series (The Martini Club) is different - crime thrillers but the crime-solvers are retired CIA spies. Its as if Jason Bourne retired, bought a farm in a small town and people just kept getting kidnapped and murdered so he had no choice but to get involved.
