Syllabus life

For my family book club, the person (the “professor” 😏) who chooses the book makes a syllabus for each and we meet weekly over FaceTime to discuss. When we read Nora Ephron’s Heartburn, we met in person to make the recipes from the book and watch the movie. We give supplemental reading — usually articles about the author — and sometimes there’s a pop quiz. It’s much more fun than meeting once a month after everyone has finished the book — and it feels like you’re back in school 🤓
