Tan&Loom Doctor's Sling Bag: It doesn’t fit the not-neutral part of your brief, but this is a very affordable and lovely leather bag company I discovered on a trip to India. Full disclosure: my buckle did break from (very) heavy use in the first two or three months I had it, but the company was incredibly considerate shipping me a replacement abroad and explaining how to install. Looks like with shipping to the U.S. the cost would be around $80. I love the look and craftsmanship!

vintage Coach: not sure if (fake) snakeskin is your vibe, but I highly recommend vintage Coach! The Real Real has many options and some GREAT deals, or befriend your local vendor. occasionally finds will need a trip to the leather spa but it’s worth it.

Lacoste Small Champs-Élysées Half-Moon Bag: Okay this is slightly over $100. Sorry. But I have a version of this bag and I love it. The shape makes it SO EASY to carry. And there is a longer strap for cross body vibes. Real leather. Good neutral adjacent color ways. (I have a red but also add scarves to neutral bags for some jazz.)
