For when your husband is telling you about a podcast he’s listening to and you don’t have an opinion but you DO want to connect with him, or when someone says something weird and you’re not sure how to interpret it, or if someone mentions something offhandedly about their day… works for almost everything and lets people know you care and want to connect.

I used to work with someone who always says “tell me” as a way of refocusing the conversation on whatever I needed/wanted to say. It sounds abrupt but her delivery is so affirming.
