Book Party

My sisters and closest friends have seasonal jobs, live off grid, have babies, run businesses and everything in between. A traditional book club is not in the cards for us. Instead we do an annual sometimes biannual book party where we all bring physical copies of books we have read and we then present them to the group (think book report vibes but there’s wine involved).

We have a sticky note in the front cover of the book and you write your name and your rating, to keep track of who has read what books. We end up discussing the books we have all read in depth but in a very organic way. Then you get to leave the party with a stack of new-to-you books to read! It’s a very sweet tradition!
