Sedona: Enchantment and its sister spa property Mii Amo. If you’ve never been to AZ, this would be my top destination to experience the state. The hiking is endless 🥲. Be sure to have a car, unless You plan to book all outings through the on-site trail house. These properties are west of town in a gorgeous canyon, so you still need to go about 15-20 mins to get back in for more dining options. Driving up, it will route you through cottonwood coming from PHX, I recommend going up through VOC (Village of Oak Creek) so you can enjoy the scenic byway. It will take longer to get there, but you’ll pass through town and get a sense on arrival of how far it is from these properties. Plus I think is the most fun way to be welcomed to red rock country 😊

Castle Hot Springs is about an hour outside of Phoenix and completely remote. It’s like it’s own little utopia complete with trails and adventures, a garden growing 80% of the fresh veggies and herbs eaten on site, it’s own water treatment, and of course, the healing hot springs! Going back to regular society is a true letdown after a stay here LOLOL.

More the R&R pick since you are self contained with nothing else around. Sedona is the adventurous pick in case you get cabin fever.
