good tactic a lot of the time generally, but for me this is specifically health-related and ESPECIALLY for anyone who has any kind of hormonal condition or something that involves a lot of "lifestyle adjustments" to manage. i have PCOS/PMOS that effs me up a lot of the time. everything i read and everyone on reddit says: don't run, it'll increase inflammation. i'm training for a race! all my docs say: eat high protein and lots of meat, it'll help your blood sugar. i am flirting with pescatarianism! i eat candy! if i did everything i was supposed to do to "manage" or god forbid "optimize" i would be unhappy, which would stress me out, which would definitely make everything worse, whereas all those helpful tidbits only might help. shutting out the noise (and taking breaks from reading about health stuff) is probably the most crucial part of my wellness toolkit.

i also think about this when i complain about the cost of living in a city & some people say, "why don't you move further out where rent is cheaper" and i'm like, but i would not be near my community, friends, work opportunities & favourite things so i'd be miserable?!?!?
Okay 1000000000% this...it's like, let me complain about whatever without trying to fix my life!! i am the expert of me!
