Reading this book is up there as one of my favorite book experiences and I wish I could bottle up that first time feeling just to feel it again. I love Jenny's writing and humor and have a visceral memory of starting the "I Was Born: About to Bust" chapter and thinking wow, me too, me too and it turns out we share a birthday (March 25) and nothing could have been a better surprise than resonating and lighting up word-for-word the way I did reading her Jenny-prose-poetry-style description of what the world was like when she was born and arriving to her mentioning the date only to find out it was, in fact, the exact same day I was born. Magical!
Anyway, there are a thousand other reasons to read this book if your birthday isn't March 25. It really is poetic and playful and curious and hilarious.
