How truly lovely is this.

I memorized Sweet Darkness in high school (22+ years ago) and it has been a much-loved companion all of these years.

Wow, I love that so much. There is an alternate version of my life where I found his work in high school. Sweet Darkness especially... which I would have deeply resonated with on an exaggeratedly teenager-who-loved-lit-class level. (I'm probably still her.)

Did you know that David Whyte hosts international walking tours and you can join and hear him recite this poem (and so many others!) IRL? I’ve been on one and highly recommend!
