If you're going the back way to/from Boone and Asheville, you'll pass Linville Caverns. Classic roadside attraction that punches above its weight. A nice tonic to the over-hyped natural cave experiences that for some reason include laser shows. The caverns are family-owned; support mountain families who make your vacations fun!
