I love Joan Didion’s writing. I know myself and I know my tastes and sensibilities would have had similar reactions to the zeitgeist of the 60s and 70s. I’m still in my chronological read through of all her work that I started last summer.This was a reread and it’s still excellent. Her take down of the pointless and tacky Reagan governors’ mansion is a national treasure.

“intriguing in its simplicity. getting ready/packing is something i find challenging (ADHD), even day-to-day, so having a list such as this would probably be life-changing.
