I second Grier’s original suggestion for this brand! Not sure if you need something more all-terrain but this brand is super comfortable! I’ve started wearing the tassel mule as my walking shoe instead of a tennis shoe because I think they’re chicer and more comfy.

Haha, I have seen these and def. looked askance in the "good for them, not for me" mode (I have a limit on how much look I am willing to sacrifice for comfort), but you all make a compelling case!
The open back gives me pause, too ... I need a shoe up for pounding on concrete and cobbles for miles and miles and miles. (I may not be able to escape the sneaker stanglehold.)
These mold to your feet @Brigid , very secure! I don’t know if they’re quite up for the pavement pounding you’re describing @even*cleveland , they are my city shoe in Los Angeles I’m at about half your mileage. A great town loafer I’d say!
This is helpful @Grier! Slippery mules and slides that could be lost to a sidewalk or puddle are a great fear, and this sounds safe. Probably good for my usual NY day and also keep the toes away.
Bingo!!
chic!
Thoughts seeing them in-person?
Why that ginormous logo on the insole? (:

“In response to slide request! My sisters make so much fun of me for wearing these orthopedic Finnish slides but jokes on them because you can walk for miles in these things. They are supportive, comfortable 9pm dog walking shoes but you can also wear them for a full day on set or with a shapeless sack and look cool and avant- garde.”
