Dav Pilkey’s Author Bio

This author’s bio makes me 🥹 every time. I think every library should have it framed on the wall where kids can see it. Hoping more educators can see the beauty in ADHD and not just as a problem to solve.

As someone who has a kid who is constantly in trouble in school for not listening and not being able to sit still, I cried when I first read this Meet the Author bio. My son writes and illustrates his own books, the Adventures of Ducky, and often it’s when he is sitting at a table alone, in trouble. Dav Pilkey’s bio gives me so much hope for my spirited kiddo.

My kid JUST read me this bio aloud last night!!! Dog Man has made them fall in love with reading, they’re suddenly staying up late and planning their next trip to the library.
