This was a film that raised me. So many memorable songs and videos. The Michael Jackson/Diana Ross “When We Grow Up”, “Ladies First”, “William’s Doll”, and “It’s Alright to Cry” are burned into my brain!

“This movie was one of the VHS we had (my sisters (full-blooded) are 13 and 16 years older than me and so I fortunately got to see a lot of cool stuff like this (and Schoolhouse Rock/Faerie Tale Theatre/Dark Crystal/etc). The soundtrack and the book are also great!”
