I get the sensory ick! Great idea. I’ve only accidentally done this when leaving them out in the rain.

A kitchen zester is also a super fun tool for dry sidewalk chalk: you can make beautiful designs with the powder or shave it into a cup or bucket and add water to make paint!

“We used to call this “permanent chalk” when we were kids. But we did it in reverse - we’d hose down the driveway and then draw on it. Made our intricate bike obstacle courses last weeks during Michigan summers.”

“We discovered this accidentally by leaving a chalk bucket out in the rain and now it's the only way my daughter wants to chalk. I agree that it's 200% more satisfying tho!”

“The colors become much more bold AND the chalk glides so smoothly over the pavement!”
