I return to this advice over and over ESPECIALLY in the summer when the heat is making everyone cranky. Just add water- drink from a hose, spray a hose and look for the rainbow, bust out your bubble options (Pustefix has some fun ones), find a creek/watering hole/pool/kiddie pool/ocean/lake, plop in a bubble bath, make nature soup with petals/leaves/berries, munch on some crushed ice or Kona ice… WATER TO THE RESCUE!
