When I don’t know what to listen to and don‘t want another algorithmically-informed playlist, I choose a random file from the Pine Walk Mixtapes. They’re tapes of DJ sets and parties from the ‘70s–‘90s found in a house on Fire Island. Most are disco-forward in a satisfyingly low-stim way.
